From Engagement to Honeymoon: Creating a Wedding Video Series

Your wedding day is a pivotal moment in your love story, but what if you could preserve the journey leading up to it and beyond? At Ardsley Park Productions, we believe that your wedding video can be more than just a single highlight reel—it can be a beautifully crafted series that captures every stage of your journey together. From the proposal to the honeymoon, a wedding video series allows you to relive your entire story, celebrating the unique moments that make your love special.

Why Create a Wedding Video Series?

Life’s most meaningful stories are rarely told in a single chapter. Your wedding is a celebration of your journey, but it’s also part of a larger narrative that includes your engagement, the planning process, and the start of your married life. By documenting these stages, a wedding video series becomes a time capsule, showcasing not just the big day but the many moments that make your love story uniquely yours.

A Real-Life Example: Anne and Josh’s Wedding Journey

One of the most rewarding projects we’ve worked on at Ardsley Park Productions is the love story of Anne and Josh. Their journey perfectly illustrates the beauty of creating a wedding video series.

It all began when we filmed their engagement video, capturing the excitement and anticipation as they planned their future together. However, like many couples, their plans took an unexpected turn when the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to reschedule their wedding.

Instead of letting this setback dim their joy, Anne and Josh chose to embrace the journey. We traveled to Tennessee to film a smaller, intimate celebration on their original date with their closest friends and family. This "minimony" was a heartfelt and beautiful chapter in their story, filled with emotion and resilience.

Later that year, we reunited in Savannah, Georgia, to film their full wedding celebration. Having worked with Anne and Josh over the course of three years, we were able to create a comprehensive video series that told their entire story—from engagement to their smaller celebration, and finally to their grand wedding day. This extended experience allowed us to truly get to know them and create films that captured their love story in a deeply personal and meaningful way.

What Can a Wedding Video Series Include?

  • Engagement Video: Share the excitement of your engagement with a video that captures your love and the anticipation of your wedding day.

  • Behind-the-Scenes Moments: Document the planning process, from dress shopping to cake tastings and everything in between.

  • Pre-Wedding Events: Capture moments like bridal showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and rehearsal dinners.

  • Wedding Day: Create a cinematic film of your ceremony and reception that showcases the big day’s emotions and details.

  • Post-Wedding Highlights: Include scenes from your honeymoon or the early days of married life to complete your story.

The Benefits of a Wedding Video Series

  • Personal Connection: Working together over time allows us to truly understand your love story, ensuring each video reflects your unique relationship.

  • Comprehensive Storytelling: A video series weaves together all the moments of your journey, creating a richer, more complete narrative.

  • Lasting Memories: You’ll have a collection of videos to revisit, each highlighting a different chapter of your love story
